WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT?

Choosing a career is not easy... Have you chosen yours yet?

One of the most important things to do before choosing what your’re going to do for a living is considering what you can do well and what you have difficulties in doing. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses?

By doing the exercise that follows you are going to have the chance to see 10 people's strengths and weaknesses, see what they considered before choosing their occupation. Can you guess what they do for a living?

DOES PRISON WORK?

Do you believe sending people to jail helps them become better people?
Do you think the purpose of having people living behind bars is just making sure they are not among us or it's also educating them?

Take a look at the text and the exercises that follow so we can deeply discuss it.

HOUSEHOLD CHORES

I remember that when I was a teenager I used to believe I had a busy routine, lots of things to do for school and my mom would still dare ask me to help her with the housework.

Well, now I know I should have helped her more often, and i also know I didn't really have a busy routine. Nowadays I'm responsible for doing the housework and I also work out. I don't complain because I enjoy doing both things, but I must tell you... I did have to give up some things. No regrets.

I'd like to know what you guys do on a daily basis. Here you have an exercise on house chores, so do it and don't forget to send me your answers, OK?

If you want to know what I've got to do, just ask me. ;o)

OLD WORDS, NEW WORD

How many times have you believe you didn't get the meaning of a word, and then on the following minute you discovered that you just hadn't paid enough attention to it? One of the greatest challenges of learning a language, especially for more advanced students, is not getting to learn new words, but learning how to use the vocabulary already studied in a different way. Many words are compound nous, like pancake for example (pan + cake). Take a look at the following exercise and see how've been in contact with it for a while without even noticing it.

BIENAL DO LIVRO
