9/11

I don't know whether it's why it's 9/11 10th anniversary, but I feel kind of blue today. Turning the TV on is asking to be remembered of that terrible terrorist attack that devastated an entire country - if not the world.

When I stop to think about it, I remember that on September 11th, 2001, I was having a snack at my prep course cafeteria, and just wouldn't believe what had happened. I thought it was a movie preview or something; I just could take in those events as being something real.

When I think about that day, more than thinking about its political and economical consequences, I think about the families who were left hurting, bleeding in knowing they would never be reunited with their loved ones. I think about the parents who won’t see their kids growing up, think about the children who won’t have their parents to count on. And then it hits me: I often take everything for granted and don’t live life to the fullest, not seizing the moment I have with my family. It's believing the future is always there, waiting for me, no matter what. Should I change it? Sure! Is it easy to do so? Not for me...

How has 9/11 affected you? How do you feel when you stop to think about this day?

WACKY ELECTION CANDIDATES

If you thought only Brazilian people were aware of how lame most of our candidates are, you were wrong, really wrong.

It is notorious, even in the UK, that most of our candidates don't have a clue of what they are doing, of what is expected from them.

And who is there, ilustrating the article? Tiririca! Isn't it great? Here is one more for the list that already includes Carnival, samba, soccer, gorgeous girls, paradisiac beaches...

With such a strong figure and auch an easy number to remember, he's propably gonna be one of our deputies; and you know what? For one who used to make a living by making people laugh, making a living by making fun of people is not gonna be so difficult.
